Soho Startup Loft  is a study in varied modes of cosmopolitan living. Located on Spring Street in Soho, the apartment was reimagined for a commercial client for whom we had recently designed their startup headquarters.  

Our process began with a close reading of the existing space and a clear understanding of the client’s desire to have a calm palette cleanser of a living communal space while his private quarters could be more bold and decidedly immersive.  Recognizing that his entertaining of guests had different demands than his time in the space alone, he wanted us to design a vision that would afford this shift from public to private in a way where the design details expressed this transition.  

The primary suite has a markedly different palette and tone than the open plan living space.  Mirrored walls, saturated color on the ceiling and thoughtful lighting transformed his personal space into a unique private world.  This also is apparent in his primary bathroom, a space he required to be one of a kind and a memorable space for self care.
