Founded in 2012, HUXHUX Design Inc. is an award-winning design agency in New York City, founded by Harvard-trained architect Justin Huxol. The studio takes an adaptive, process-driven approach, creating interiors for residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality spaces.
Our style, while ever curious about the interplay of geometry, materiality, and craft, is always informed by our clients’ lived experiences. Spaces we design consistently have a uniqueness in their ability to tell the story of the people who live in them. What sets us apart is our dedication to craftsmanship and detail across scales—from architecture down to the finest interior element. From concept through construction and beyond, our team manages every stage of the process, ensuring a seamless experience and spaces built to last. Challenging convention is seen as an opportunity for creativity, resulting in spaces that are beautifully unexpected and thoughtful.
We are a multidisciplinary team of designers with degrees in architecture, interior architecture, and interior design from Harvard GSD, RISD, and FIT. With offices in Manhattan and Vancouver, we welcome projects globally. We approach design collaboratively and embrace the diversity of our team’s varied perspectives on art, history, and culture.
Our founder, Justin Huxol, has worked with Rem Koolhaas at OMA Rotterdam, REX, and MOS-Office. He taught Interior Design studios for five years at Parsons New School for Design and has guest lectured at Harvard GSD and the New York School of Interior Design.

Our Process
At HUXHUX Design Inc, we have a deep passion for a variety of styles, but we never let style limit our work. We believe that style should result from the design process, not drive it. Our goal is to create design solutions that go beyond initial ideas and embrace the transformative power of well-designed spaces. We see constraints, such as budgets, building codes, schedules, and site limitations, as opportunities to customize our designs. For each project, we start by listening to our clients' core questions and concerns. We don't believe in pre-determined solutions or accepting things as given. Instead, we work closely with our clients to ensure that our designs are effective from every angle. As your designers, we take responsibility for every aspect of the design process, including scope definition, project scheduling, contracts, procurement, and construction oversight. We understand that design can be both specific and mundane, and we are dedicated to exploring every detail and parameter to develop insightful solutions that bring out unexpected possibilities or reinforce conventions with thoughtful conviction.
