Justin Huxol, founder of HUXHUX, received his Masters of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design. Upon graduating the GSD, he received a Sheldon Traveling Fellowship from Harvard University to study Olympic Legacy in host cities around the world. He has worked professionally with/for Bill Price, MOS-Office, Preston Scott Cohen, Rem Koolhaas at OMA Rotterdam, REX, and William Rawn Associates in Boston. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University in Environmental Studies. In 2013 he received a Best of Year Award Honoree from Interior Design Magazine. His design work was named by Inc Magazine as one of the top ten of the World's Coolest Offices for 2015.
From his 10+ years of design experience, Justin focused for five years in design-build here in New York City, with projects ranging from luxury retail to residential to hospitality. This experience provides HUXHUX with expert knowledge in design fabrication. The range of scope in terms of design and budget from these varied experiences, coupled with Huxol's training in architecture, afford a unique position for HUXHUX to operate a full-service design firm to meet the unique demands of New Yorkers seeking exceptional spaces of their own. HUXHUX is currently focusing its attention in the commercial sector, designing numerous offices for creative firms, media innovators and various start ups. Projects range from 2,000 SF to 20,000 SF, and all are approached with a curiosity to explore the potential of using design to advance our definitions of the creative working environment.
Huxol is currently leading HUXHUX Design while also teaching Interior Design for the past five years at Parsons New School for Design.
